Spectacular 3-Piece Meat Dome Service with. Hot Water Reservoir - No Monograms. Estimated mid to late 1800s. Offered for sale is a spectacular meat dome set with and actual footed hot water reservoir.

I have been in this business for a lot of years... And this is the first totally original set that is absolutely true to itself. I found no marks or stamps to indicate the maker...

Or the actual time of manufacture... Gorgeous Georgian style, I would believe it to be the mid to late 1800s.

Stands on four hand chased feet complemented by intricate handles on both the reservoir and the dome. The dome handle is removable for cleaning and storage. Dimensions are in inches Width x Depth x Height 24 x 17 1/2 x 17. When I got this set... It was totally black, and I bought it completely on faith... There was no way to tell if it was just covered in heavy tarnish... Or if the silver was gone and dirty black was all that was left. It took 3 days of constant polishing to finally find the glamour.

So, to keep the new owner's from losing their minds, (and so I don't have to polish again) I got fitted silvercloth bags for the pieces... Including a small one to protect the removable dome handle. Keep them covered and this set will be ready to wow your guests in a moment's notice.

Please view the photographs carefully as they are part of the description. When damage (no matter how minute) I try to make sure that it is clearly depicted in the photos. Also, while I thoroughly wash and hand-polish every piece of sterling that I sell, I do not have the time or the inclination to get out a toothbrush and clean every little nook and cranny of the more intricate designs unless build-up or tarnish is excessive. My word is my bond.
