Antique Hawkes Sterling Crystal Decanter Etch Thistle Pattern Sterling Cap RARE
Antique, Hawkes Sterling Crystal Decanter, Etched Thistle Pattern, Sterling Silver Cap, Engraved, circa early 1900s, RARE. Exquisite antique crystal scotch whiskey long neck decanter features a large etched Scottish thistle motif. It has a lockable flip-top latch sterling silver cap that is a little tweaked and needs polishing. The inner stopper is clear and frosted glass (which is scuffed from age and use) and sits firmly in the bottle opening. There is a slight film on the inside bottom.
The cap has the engraved imprint " 10 Hawkes Sterling S101" on it. Thomas Hawkes of Corning, New York was one of America's finest producers of fine crystal.
