Antique TIFFANY All Sterling Silver Laydown Perfume Flask c1910-7 Inches-126g
A scarce fine antique Tiffany & Co. Makers all sterling silver large laydown perfume flask. The piece is marked TIFFANY & Co. According to these marks, this perfume bottle was produced under the Tiffany Directorship of John C. Given the engraved decoration, this piece was very likely made in the very early 1900's. The piece is 7 inches long by 1 3/8 inches in diameter, and weighs a hefty 126 grams, or 4 troy ounces. It has detailed engraving all over except on the base. There is a blank cartouche with no monogram. The flask has a finely machined screw-on cap. The interior is gilded to protect the silver from the perfume, which you can still smell. The base is flat, so the flask can stand vertically by itself. There are 3 shallow dents on the cap & a couple on the body, but nothing serious. The flask holds liquid without leaking.
