Custom polishing and restoration featuring professionally restored sterling flatware. "Piper " by Gorham, 6 5/8" to 7 1/8" long all Sterling youth flatware set, circa 1882, monogram IBM on spoon and fork, inscribed Ida B. Mead on knife blade, weighing 94 grams total.

Gorham mark, Sterling mark, Pat'82 mark. This quaint youth set is in well used condition with numerous use marks overall, longer light scratches to knife blade and a few shallow dings to knife handle (see photos). Pattern detail is very good with little wear.

A fine example of late 19th century flatware expressly designed for children's small hands. It appears young Ida enjoyed many meals with this beautiful set.

No removals and no damage issues other than those mentioned above. Dark areas in photos are reflections. I have ultrasonic cleaned and lightly hand polished this set with Goddards silver polishing foam. The final finish is a low luster antique with pattern patina.
